Dearest Parents and Colleagues,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of the Child Wellness Centre at the end of June 2024. This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make as CWC has truly had the most profound impact on my life and I have learnt so much from each person and professional I have worked with. Its been such a rewarding journey walking closely with you and your families since 2015 and we are so grateful and humbled that you entrusted us with your children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing.

I also want to take this opportunity to publicly thank Julie du Toit and the other psychologists who have worked at CWC for their dedication and commitment to their clients and for sharing their expertise with us, as well as our other multidisciplinary team practitioners who have worked with us at the Centre. We have been such a dynamic team.

I also want to thank Tanja, our friendly face at reception, for going above and beyond in all she does for us and our clients. Sometimes words are just not enough to truly express one’s gratitude. Tanja will be finishing up tomorrow at end of May. We wish her the very best on her next chapter.

Whilst Tanja will be finishing tomorrow, Julie will be working up until the end of June and will be managing the reception services over this time. Please note that Adele van der Merwe and Teresa Hayward will also continue working at CWC until end of June.

I would like to thank you once again for all your support over these years. Whilst this is so bittersweet, I an excited to announce that I will be based at Woodridge Preparatory as their school psychologist.

We wish to thank you for your support this year. Its such a privilege to be entrusted with your precious children. The practice is closed from the 14th of December 2023 and will re-open on the 8th of January 2024.

Unfortunately yet again there is a very old 2018 vacancy advert for a receptionist position thats been reposted by Job King. Please note that there is NO vacancy and we have tried numerous times to get Job King to remove the advert without success.

The course is all about how to manage all the emotions in the household, how to actively listen and manage conflict effectively.
