15 January 2026 and the ground is damp in the Bay. Hopefully models are right and it continues to keep matters wet and douse smoldering fires.

PLEASE assist the VOLUNTEER firefighters from FARM COM who are tirelessly fighting these fires and protecting properties, lives and infrastructure. Contact me if you need more details as to how you can assist. I refer to request received.......Our biggest short coming this last 10 days, were water supplies for those bowsers. Some incidents we were fortunate that we could fill up from the NMBM tankers while other times from farmer boreholes which took ages +-20min to fill 500litres and then like at Wedgewood Golf estate were there dams full with water and were we could have placed a bakkie manned by ladies eg. with a centrifugal pump that could suck the water and fill up in 5min. The turn around is so much shorter and brings more effective fire fighting to the fore. we are now looking for contributors or sponsors to donate two of these pumps which will be kept and maintained and be ready in the vicinity to refill bowsers. we do have access to some fire hydrants in the area as well but in the remote areas like Nyosi Game reserve and St Alban farms, none but there are dams

11 January 2026 and another warm week with a glimmer of hope of rain Thursday/Friday here in the Bay. Winds gusting 30 km/h plus on Monday and Thursday which not good news for weary firefighters

Jeeves Clothing Alterations at Walmer Park - we going to collect tomorrow and saturday and will then drop off on saturday afternoon. If anyone would like to drop off with us - we are open 9am - 5pm tomorrow and 9am - 2pm on Saturday 👍🏼
