My take of the legendary Shilin slicer knife (more accurately called the Shilin cutter)
It is a traditional Taiwanese folding knife with a long, interesting history tied to craftsmanship and local culture.

This one comes close to the original which I had the privilege of handling. (The final picture) African Blackwood scales and brass bolsters with a damasteel blade and spring. Interestingly, the blade shape design mimics that of a bamboo leaf and the handle, that of an eggplant. Now there is something you don’t hear everyday! Enjoy this special iconic piece.

Last but not least in the NOCKI lineup, a Rynos with rare Bob Dozier coral linen micarta. The more you look, the more you want to. Custom front and back pivots and inlayed studs, Bjorkmans twist dama blade and Zirc spacer. This one has a great action and vault closing sound. Razor sharp and ready for anything. Enjoy.

Next up for NOCKI is the antique sage and black paper in the swordfish configuration. Hand rubbed satin bevels with a polished swedge. The bolsters are the also from the same material but just a different cut. The backspacer cut was carefully chosen to show the transition between the sage and black material. A unique piece with a stunning action. Enjoy.

Next up for the NOCKI show is the Dino front flipper in zirc, damacore and antique emerald paper. Sporting a traditional touch with a Zirc federal shield and a touch of class with the highly polished damacore blade and stunning emerald paper. Action is beautiful and the front flip ergonomics are very intuitive. Enjoy

My first swordfish for the Nocki show may be a little too hot to handle. 😜🔥. Sporting antique tootsie roll Westinghouse paired with butterscotch paper Westinghouse. The tootsie roll was split in between the two white centre lines and milled down showing the lines as a liner for the scales. Overkill? Yes, but the results were worth it. Patina butterscotch westy for the flames which looks very similar to dark ivory westy or textolite. Full butterscotch spacer to add to the buttery action of the dark etch Norris blade. Matching clip to suit. Custom pivot and studs. Enjoy.

Next in the NOCKI line up is the Rynos prototype model. The first ever built in this range. A 1 of 1 for sure. RWL blade and brass accents, angled studs and fat carbon desert dunes scales. Great crisp action and clean overall look make this one very special. Brass will patina with age giving an even more classic feel to this special piece. Enjoy

Starting my detailed lineup for the NOCKI show at the end of the month. A Rynos in red and black NTPT. A Norris blade with a dark etch. Custom pivot and studs. Polished Zirc spacer. This one fires like a rocket and has a buttery smooth action. Enjoy.
