Yesterday was cochlear implant day for our patient from the Garden Route that suffered a sudden loss of hearing following a viral infection. Dr. Louis Hofmeyr (ENT) successfully implanted the affected cochlea and Melanie conducted tests on the implant afterwards. Please ensure that you have enough stock of your hearing aid consumables (hearing aid batteries, wax filters, hearing aid tubings and domes) so that you can use your hearing aids successfully during this time of family and social gatherings.
