Meet the team 🤩

Calandra Pillay

Calandra is a specialised Biokineticist who completed her honours degree in 2016. She went on to complete her internship with the Sharks Rugby academy in KZN in 2017. Calandra then worked in private practice for 2 years and thereafter completed her Master in Philosophy degree at UCT in 2021 🤓

She has experience working with Discovery Health for 2 years and is now running MPA Biokinetics with the help of her partner in Gerberqha.

Calandra loves outdoor fitness such as hikes and running 🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️

Her Masters degree focused on obese and overweight individuals and the different factors that influence their behavioural patterns compared to lean individuals. She is experienced in rehabilitation and weight loss programs 🏋🏾‍♀️

Meet the team 🤩

Philo Moodley

Philo is a qualified Biokineticist who completed his Honours degree in 2016 at NMMU. He completed his internship in 2017 with Francois Swanepoel in Mossel Bay. Philo then went on to work on the Holland America Cruise lines for 1 year. Since his return he opened up his own practice and then went on to work for Discovery Health during COVID. He is now running MPA Biokinetics in Gerberqha.

Philo has a passion for many sports such as Cricket and Table Tennis. He is very competitive and hard working and always excels in everything he does 💯🥇

As a Biokineticist he specialises in Cardiac, Orthopedic and Neurological rehabilitation and makes use of the Chattanooga which is an electrical muscle stimulator to half recovery time and increase strength. Philo is also highly trained in specialised exercises in our indoor heated pool 🏊🏼‍♀️🌊
