Road closures during veld fires are not implemented to inconvenience anyone.

They are enforced strictly for the safety of the public, emergency services, and property.

Fire conditions can change within minutes due to:

• Shifting winds
• Thick smoke
• Falling trees
• Poor visibility
• Fast-moving flames

It is completely unacceptable for members of the public to argue with officials tasked with closing roads, or worse, to ignore instructions and drive into closed-off areas, as has recently occurred.

These officials are acting under direct instruction and with one purpose only:
to save lives and protect property.

Driving past barriers or disregarding instructions places:

• Your life at risk
• Your passengers’ lives at risk
• Firefighters and emergency personnel in serious danger

Please:

✔️ Respect all road closures
✔️ Follow instructions from officials
✔️ Remember: no delivery, shortcut, or argument is worth a life

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – CONFIRMED HOUSE BREAK-IN 🚨

📍 Location: Hankey Street, Bridgemeade

📅 Date & Time: 07 January 2026 | 06:17

A social media report was received regarding a confirmed house break-in at a non-client premises. Extreme Security Armed Response attended the scene.

Information gathered indicates that the time of the incident is unknown. Suspects gained access by removing a small window.

Items reported stolen:

65" Skyworth TV & remote
Pressure cooker
Air fryer
Iron
1L milk
Pieces of leather

⚠️ The alarm system was not armed at the time of the incident.
Always ensure your alarm is armed before going to sleep or leaving your home.

Armed Response remained on site, and SAPS Kabega Park was informed. A case will be opened.

A water meter was stolen from a premises during the night.

Extreme Security Armed Response attended the scene, and the incident was reported to the municipality.

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – ARREST / VEHICLE RECOVERY 🚨

📍 Location: Central – Clyde Street

📅 Date & Time: 04 January 2026 | 20:54

An Extreme Security Armed Response Officer received information regarding a possible stolen vehicle reported two days prior. An investigation was immediately initiated, and the vehicle registration was loaded onto the NAVIC ALPR camera system.

Further investigation revealed that the stolen vehicle was fitted with false number plates taken from a similar vehicle. The vehicle’s whereabouts were successfully traced, and the information was promptly relayed to the Mount Road Task Team.

Within minutes, the vehicle was located. Two suspects were found in possession of the vehicle, arrested on scene, and the vehicle was impounded.

Excellent teamwork and diligent follow-up by Extreme Security and the Mount Road Task Team resulted in two arrests and the successful recovery of the stolen vehicle.

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN 🚨

📍 Location: Sherwood, Montrose Street – Chino Park

📅 Date & Time: 25 December 2025 | 01:17

The Extreme Security Control Room received a CCTV activation after Avlytics detected suspicious activity, where suspects attempted to lift the complex gate. Armed Response was dispatched immediately.

Upon arrival, the area was searched and the suspects were found close to the complex, with assistance from Cotswold NHW. SAPS was notified without delay and responded promptly.

🔫 A replica firearm and a knife were recovered at the scene and booked in at SAPS 13.

Due to there currently being no cases opened against the suspects, no arrests could be made at this stage; a crime was successfully prevented.

📹 This incident highlights the effectiveness of Avlytics Camera Systems, enabling early detection, faster response times, and improved outcomes during active incidents.
