Brain injury is the most devastating disruption in a person’s life and also affects the lives of the injured person's relatives. Since the potential for normal development is diminished after brain injury, the uncertainty of that person's future causes a cloud of depression and pain which envelopes everyone who associates with him or her. From birth we discover new skills and develop a fuller understanding of the world around us. For children with disabilities this process isn't so easy. It is difficult for them to make sense of the things we take for granted. Reinhardt’s Place exists to help these children reach their full potential and live a fulfilling and personally more rewarding life. Reinhardt’s Place is an organisation whose profile is growing and with a unique approach in this field; to make a difference with love and care for all persons in South Africa in all age brackets and races who are suffering from some form of brain damage. What’s in it for our children and what can you offer that they are not already getting? We offer over 50 years of combined experience, a wide range of expertise from many different disciplines and have helped many families over the years. We are dedicated to looking at the whole child and the family situation and not just at any one medical condition. We at Reinhardt’s Place know how difficult it is to care for a disabled person on a full-time basis. We know the repercussions of such a situation for all the parties concerned only too well and we did extensive research on the subject.

Urgent appeal for assistance
The past five years have been a constant battle for survival. We are in deep waters, and after 30 years of dedicating our lives to creating a safe haven for our beloved residents, we have reached a point where we simply cannot continue without financial support to meet our daily needs.
Our ESKOM ACCOUNT payable is
R16,936.93.
We have made arrangements and received a reference number from Eskom, whereby they gave us until the 22nd September to settle the account.
Upon our return from the dentist
(having to take two residents for extractions and fillings), we find that our electricity was cut off.

Apart from our Eskom Account, we are in desperate need of food, adult diapers, toiletries and cleaning materials.
Any assistance would be sincerely appreciated.
