Had the loveliest morning at King Ndlovuyezwe Ndamase special school. So amazing to meet the passionate and dedicated staff members who welcomed us with open arms. We are looking forward to collaborating ๐ŸŒž
Please see the last pics of the beautiful beadwork that the children at this school make. We are hoping to get the word out to support their fundraising efforts, so message us for more information ๐ŸŒˆ

MANDELA DAY 2022

On 15 July, our Isilimela clinical team went to join Mandela day at a school in Kohlo, a nearby village.

This day was to promote all services provided by government. We as health care professionals took our "care on wheels"๐Ÿ’ƒ

Here is to more outreach, and taking hands with other government departments, to provide this community with the care they deserve.

Update on Isilimela therapy dept: We have not had a physiotherapist since Jan 2022. We have really felt it hinder our services.

Luckily we have had this amazing human being volunteer as a Physio in our department for 2 months!
She has helped our community and served way over what was ever necessary of her.
thank you .smash for your selfless act!

Additionally, we are trying to get a physiotherapy post opened for physio services to resume, for now we are needing to refer to our nearby hospitals.

Love from Isilimela therapy team.

Today we had the honour of being able to distribute over 100 childrenโ€™s books translated in isiXhosa to the local ECD centre. This was made possible by our amazing partners who provided us with 420 books (English, isiXhosa and wordless options) to use and distribute to the children in our community ๐Ÿ“š

We know the impact these books will have on our next generation as they will be the first books these children own in their home language ๐Ÿ—ฃ

In addition to the kiddies receiving their books, we also decided to do a group with the educators at the ECD centre, using resources from . Which we know will empower them to promote literacy and put these amazing books to good use.

Written consent received from all persons in the photos.

Majola outreach - our furthest clinic and by far the most beautifully placed in between the MAJOLA tea plantations.

We had a full house MDT this time (Docter, OT x 2, PT, SLT, DT and translator)

Once again we had the privilege of enriching peoples lives with equipment ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ
