was a huge success! Together with the School of Human Movement Sciences, Subject Group: Nutrition, the South African National Blood Service and Dis-Chem Pharmacies, we screened 542 participants! This brings our total for May Measure Month to 1695 participants, thus far 🏆

Super proud to have you on our team, Chanelle Volschenk! 🇵🇹🤓

A huge congratulations on behalf of the NWU Faculty of Health Sciences to Master’s student Chanelle Volschenk on her selection to attend the 54th International Teaching Seminar on Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention, to be held in Lisbon, Portugal from 13 to 24 July. 🌟

Only 36 candidates from across the world are selected to attend, so this truly is a commendable milestone!

The first week of the seminar will entail lectures, practical sessions and a focus on existing study designs, statistical modelling and evaluation, and other application components.

During the second week, participants will develop their own study protocols based on their learnings from Week 1, which will be presented before the week concludes with a formal graduation ceremony.

We look forward to Ms Volschenk sharing her experience after the event, and we cannot emphasise enough the level of pride such engagements and achievements bring to the Faculty.
