🍆 Silent Struggle: Erectile Dysfunction Rising in African Men

Erectile dysfunction is on the rise in Africa — with rates reaching 43.8% to 65.8% in Nigeria and 65.9% in Ghana. Shockingly, 85% of men affected never seek treatment, often due to stigma and cultural taboos. Experts warn ED can signal serious health risks like heart attacks, strokes, and even cancer, urging men to speak up and get professional help.

New Study: Respiratory Viruses May Reactivate Dormant Breast Cancer Cells

Research shows that common viruses like COVID-19 and influenza can awaken dormant breast cancer cells in the lungs. In animal studies, previously inactive cells sparked new metastatic growths within weeks, driven by the inflammatory protein interleukin-6.

Patient data supports these findings:

UK Biobank: Cancer survivors who caught COVID-19 nearly doubled their risk of dying from cancer within a year.

U.S. clinics: Breast cancer patients with COVID-19 were almost 50% more likely to develop lung metastases than those without infection.

⚠️ Beware of “Super Gonorrhea” – The STI That’s Harder to Treat!

Gonorrhea is already common, but “super gonorrhea” is spreading fast—and it’s becoming resistant to antibiotics.

💉 What you need to know:

Caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, it’s a s*xually transmitted infection (STI).

Can be passed through vaginal, a**l, or oral s*x.

Risky s*xual behaviors like multiple partners or not using condoms increase your chance of infection.

⚠️ Symptoms to watch for:

Pain or burning during urination

Unusual discharge

A**l pain or swelling

Sore throat (if transmitted orally)

💊 Treatment & Risks:

Requires stronger or combination antibiotics.

Untreated infection can lead to infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease, or increased HIV risk.

✅ How to protect yourself:

Always use condoms and limit s*xual partners.

Get tested regularly, especially if you have high-risk behavior.

Don’t wait—early detection saves lives and prevents the spread of super gonorrhea!

"The operation involved three surgeons, six anesthesiologists, and eight nurses. Together they performed six separate operations to remove a series of brain tumors from a single patient.

From Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. until Sunday, surgeons worked with great patience at the operating table.

According to the Chinese newspaper the Global Times, this was the longest operation ever undertaken at Fujian Medical University Union Hospital.

One of the surgeons, Dr. Chen Jianping, said about the surgery, ""The patient had both an aneurysm and brain-stem hemangioblastoma. We needed to remove both tumors in one surgery. This required six different surgical procedures to be conducted on the patient. It can be difficult, risky, and time-consuming. If you are removing one tumor, and the other one breaks, it can be fatal.""

During the operation, the doctors took only short breaks, and even the patient's family worried whether the surgeons could handle the physical strain.

But it all turned out well in the end. In the image above, taken shortly after the surgery was completed, one of the surgeons to seen making a V-sign for ""victory."""

Supporting Thyroid Health Naturally: The Role of Turmeric:

Your thyroid is a small but powerful gland that helps regulate energy, metabolism, mood, and more. While conventional treatments are essential for managing diagnosed thyroid conditions, certain natural compounds may offer complementary support. One such compound is turmeric, the vibrant yellow spice known for its active ingredient curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Although turmeric does not replace thyroid medications, research suggests it may help support a healthy inflammatory response and overall well-being—both of which can indirectly benefit thyroid function. For those managing autoimmune thyroid issues like Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, turmeric may serve as a helpful addition to a well-rounded lifestyle under medical guidance.

As always, talk to your healthcare provider before adding supplements, especially if you’re on thyroid medication.

Childhood Trauma May Leave a Biological Legacy Across Generations

Emerging research reveals that the experiences we go through in childhood — especially trauma — don’t just shape us emotionally or psychologically. They can also leave biological marks that may be passed on to future generations.

A new study from the FinnBrain Birth Cohort has found that men who experienced significant childhood trauma show distinct changes in their s***m at the molecular level. These include alterations in DNA methylation and small non-coding RNA expression — both of which are known to influence how genes are expressed.

Crucially, these epigenetic changes were located in genes related to brain development, such as CRTC1 and GBX2, which play key roles in neural function. This suggests that early life stress could influence the brain development of the next generation — even before they are born.

These findings deepen our understanding of how trauma may be biologically transmitted across generations. By identifying clear epigenetic markers tied to childhood stress, the study strengthens the evidence for intergenerational impacts of trauma — with profound implications.

It reinforces the urgent need for stronger mental health support and early intervention in childhood, not just for the sake of one generation, but for those yet to come.

They also help to minimize the side effects of some Antibiotics.

In practice, we record different experiences from different people when they eat similar foods.

While some patients can take vitamin C, some patients report a negative effect.

It is important to observe what foods or drinks that worsen your symptoms.

Your doctor can only tell you what may put you at risk and what may not. But you still have a role to play.

Take out 4 weeks and diligently modify your lifestyle, while taking your medications and you will surely note the difference.
