Anja Pollard Creative Arts Therapist I am a HPCSA certified Arts therapist (specialisation in Music) and Guided Imagery and Music Fellow

My aim is to support clients in their journey of becoming resilient and fulfilled human beings. The practice provides a safe, comfortable space where clients can debrief, problem-solve, learn, and be supported with the help of creative methods. No musical skills or training is required for clients to benefit from creative arts therapy.

Here are 10 effective strategies for promoting your mental well-being:

Practice Self-Care: Engage in activities that nurture your body and mind, such as exercise, healthy eating, and adequate sleep. Hobbies and relaxation techniques like meditation or yoga can also be beneficial.
Stay Connected: Maintain strong social connections. Reach out to friends and family, join community groups, or participate in social activities to foster a sense of belonging.
Seek Help: Don’t hesitate to reach out to mental health professionals if you’re feeling overwhelmed. Therapy, counselling, or support groups can provide valuable tools and insights.
Limit Stress: Identify stressors in your life and develop coping strategies. Time management, setting boundaries, and practising mindfulness can help reduce stress levels.
Engage in Meaningful Activities: Participate in activities that give you a sense of purpose, whether it’s volunteering, pursuing a passion, or setting personal goals.
