As we near the end of Men's Health Awareness Month, let's focus on action steps. Protecting your reproductive health doesn't require dramatic changes. Small, consistent choices make the biggest difference.

Your Action Plan:
✓ Schedule regular health check-ups
✓ Discuss any concerns with your GP or fertility specialist
✓ Maintain a balanced diet rich in antioxidants
✓ Exercise regularly (but avoid excessive heat to the testicles)
✓ Manage stress through healthy coping mechanisms
✓ Limit alcohol and avoid smoking
✓ Consider HPV vaccination if appropriate
✓ Communicate openly with your partner

Your health matters. Your fertility matters. You matter.

At Femicare, we're here whenever you need expert guidance on your fertility journey.

Ideally, vaccination happens before s*xual activity begins (typically ages 11 to 12), but it's beneficial up to age 26 for men and can be considered up to age 45.

Prevention through vaccination is one of the smartest health investments you can make. Speak to us about whether HPV vaccination is right for you.

The cervix is the lower, narrow part of your uterus that connects to the va**na. Think of it as the "gateway" between your uterus and va**na - approximately 3-4cm long and shaped like a small doughnut!

What it does:
👉🏼 Produces mucus that changes throughout your menstrual cycle
👉🏼 Acts as a protective barrier, keeping bacteria out of your uterus
👉🏼 Opens during menstruation to allow blood flow
👉🏼 Dilates during childbirth to allow your baby to pass through
👉🏼 Plays a key role in fertility - cervical mucus helps s***m travel to the egg

Did you know?
👉🏼 Your cervical mucus changes consistency throughout your cycle - from thick and sticky to clear and stretchy during ovulation
👉🏼 The cervix can be felt during a self-exam (about 3-6 inches inside the va**na)
👉🏼 Regular cervical screenings (Pap smears) help detect changes early

HPV is a group of more than 200 related viruses, some of which can affect reproductive health.

Most HPV infections clear on their own within 2 years, as your immune system naturally fights them off.

This month, we're focusing on men's health because men can both carry and be affected by HPV. Understanding your s*xual health protects not only you but also your partner and your future family.

At Femicare, we believe in conversations without shame. Just facts, support, and better health outcomes.
