A Very Big Thank You as We Close 2025

As we come to the end of 2025, we would like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to every patient and family who supported and trusted us throughout the year. Being part of your pregnancy, birth, and postnatal journey is a privilege we never take lightly.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr Japsnoet, Paediatrician Dr ADJ Booysen and his team for their unwavering support over the past five years, for seeing our babies after birth, and for believing in our vision. Nearly 300 babies later, your partnership has helped make our Homebirth practice what it is today.

We are equally grateful to our backup gynecologists — Dr Mirriam Mutanda Musoke, Dr Lize Freislich, Dr Geneva Baloyi , and Dr O Ameachina — for always being available to guide, advise, and support us and our patients, especially in emergency situations.

A special thank you to Little Life Baby Clinic Sr. Tanya and Sr Annette from Sr Annette’s Baby Clinic, who assisted our newborns with their birth immunisations until we were able to offer immunisations at our own practice this year. Your dedication and care were invaluable to our families.

Also, we cannot forget to mention our dear friend and colleague Frané Clarke from Bloomsy Mom & Baby Clinic, who helps keep the wheels going when one of us needs to take a break. Thank you for treating our patients with the same love and care as we would. You are so loved and appreciated.

2025 was also a year of special personal milestones for our ThisIsUs family:

* Nisanne Oosthuizen had baby Alana in February
* Our beautiful receptionist Mariesja Simpson's daughter, Anriesja, passed Grade 7 as a Top 10 student and started high school
* Anke Greyling-Halvorsen's son, Henry, successfully passed Grade 4 in a new school and moved on to Grade 5 in 2026

We celebrated moving into our forever practice, expanding our services with an immunisation clinic, and marking five years in private practice. Welcoming almost 300 babies into the world over the past five years has been the greatest honour of our lives.

Lastly, we would like to thank you for your immense patience, understanding, and grace during a year filled with transitions — from moving practices twice, welcoming our own babies, balancing family responsibilities, and navigating changes with the immunisation clinic. Your kindness and support never went unnoticed.
