|| SOEKER ALBUM ||

On the 17th of August I will be releasing a special album that has been 4 years in the making - SOEKER. Lets call it an Afrikaans electro folk album; written, performed and sung by myself 🕺🕺

This album, created through Jungian Architype music therapy, explores various of my personal architypes that presented themselves during my sessions with Hermi Viljoen Music Therapist. I started my first sessions just before the lockdown in 2020. Each Architype is in turn represented by a portrait of myself, taken by the talented Pierre.tography exploring the colours and dimensions of each character.

The album as a whole is the completion of the 'hero's journey'. Though each portrait was inspired by a song on the album, the names do not correspond. This allows the listener to have a unique experience when listening to the music; finding their own architypes and completing their personal hero's journey in the process.

The album was created in a creative partnership with the amazing Wim Jansen van Rensberg at Belle Sound design. This album will be released under Vektor Productions label.

I look forward to taking you on this journey with me in the coming weeks 🎵🎶🎵🎶

So excited to be announcing this after months of planning and building!!!

My therapy centre is finally open. I've moved in and am ready to see clients in this newly built space that was created with one thing in mind: an environment that will make my clients feel safe and held.

Here we have it: Holding Space (ta-daaaah)
