Hemelvaartdag
Vrede waar daar onrus is.
Troos waar daar hartseer is.
Ascension Day
Today, Ascension Day does not remind us of a Jesus who left… but of a Lord who is still near.
When Christ ascended into heaven, He did not leave His children alone, afraid or without direction. Instead, He gave this promise: “I am with you always.”
And perhaps that is exactly what people need most today, the reminder that we do not have to walk through difficult times alone.
We live in a world filled with uncertainty, sorrow, change and worry. Some days feel heavy. Some people feel tired. Some hearts carry silent pain. But Ascension Day reminds us that Christ is still present, not only in churches or special places, but here among ordinary people, in ordinary days, in every home and every heart that seeks Him.
Through His Spirit, He still brings hope where there is discouragement.
Peace where there is unrest.
Comfort where there is sorrow.
And light where life feels dark.
As believers, we are called to live out that hope visibly, through love, patience, compassion and faith toward the people around us.
May Ascension Day be a reminder to each of us today:
You are not walking alone.
God has not forgotten you.
Christ is still with us. 🤍
