The 80/20 rule - a gentler way to eat 🍋‍🟩

Eating well shouldn’t feel like punishment.

The 80/20 rule is a simple way to bring balance back to your plate. 🥦 About 80% of the time, focus on nourishing foods: vegetables, fruit, whole grains, healthy fats, and good sources of protein. These are the foods that support energy, immunity, and long-term health.

The other 20%? That’s where flexibility lives. 🍭
A slice of cake. A takeaway meal or your favourite comfort food.

When most of your choices support your body, there is space for enjoyment without guilt.

🍋 Sustainable health is built on balance, not perfection.

If you don’t feel safe and heard, healing becomes harder 🫂

Trust is built slowly - through listening, consistency, and honest conversations.

I take pain seriously. Whether it’s chronic discomfort or a new condition, relief and comfort matter 💪

You should not have to “just live with it.”

Good care is compassionate care - where your comfort, dignity, and quality of life are always priorities 🤍

You should never feel confused or pressured in a medical consultation 🫂

Our role is to explain things clearly (the diagnosis, the options, the risks and benefits) in simple language that makes sense.

• You deserve time to ask questions.
• You deserve space to think.

Healthcare decisions should feel informed, not overwhelming.

When you understand what’s happening in your body, you feel calmer and more confident 💪

Holistic care with a patient-centered approach 🧡

You are more than a list of symptoms.

When you sit in the consulting room, we are thinking about your physical health, as well as your emotional and psychological well-being 🫂

• How are you coping?
• How is this affecting your daily life?

Good medicine means treating the illness, while also supporting the person living with it.

You are part of every decision that your doctor makes about your care, because healing works best when everyone works together 🍊

10/02/2026

Epilepsy is a chronic brain disorder in which groups of nerve cells, or neurons, in the brain sometimes send the wrong signals and cause seizures. ⚡️

During a seizure, many neurons send signals at the same time, much faster than normal. This surge of excessive electrical activity may cause involuntary movements, sensations, emotions, and/or behaviors.

Even though it may not be preventable in some cases it is very treatable. You can live a happy and well balanced life with epilepsy. ⚖️

➡️ Who is more likely to have epilepsy and seizures?
Anyone can develop epilepsy. It affects both men and women of all races, ethnic backgrounds, and ages. Epilepsy has many possible causes, but about half of people living with epilepsy do not know the cause. In some cases, epilepsy is clearly linked to genetic factors, developmental brain abnormalities, infection, traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, brain tumors, or other identifiable problems.

⚠️ Triggers for seizures:
• Stress.
• Drinking alcohol, or alcohol withdrawal.
• Dehydration or missing meals.
• Exposure to toxins or poisons, including lead, carbon monoxide, illicit drugs, and very large doses of prescription medications.
• Hormonal changes associated with the menstrual cycle.
• Sleep deprivation.
• Visual stimulation such as flashing lights or moving patterns.
• Infections.
• Poor compliance to medication.
