💙Prostate Cancer Awareness

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting South African men, but when detected early, it’s highly treatable.

Many men don’t experience symptoms in the early stages. That’s why regular screening is essential, especially for men over 50, or earlier if you have a family history of prostate cancer.

What to look out for:
• Difficulty starting or maintaining urination
• Weak or interrupted urine flow
• Frequent urination, especially at night
• Pain or burning while urinating
• Blood in urine or semen
• Persistent pain in the lower back, hips, or pelvis

Talking about prostate health shouldn’t be uncomfortable; it should be normal.

Did you know that testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men aged 15–49? Early detection saves lives, and it starts with knowing your own body.

A simple monthly self-check can help you notice any changes early. Look out for:
• A lump or swelling in either testicle
• A feeling of heaviness or discomfort in the sc***um
• A sudden buildup of fluid
• A dull ache in the groin or lower abdomen
