FITKIDZ PERCEPTUAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE

This elective/course takes a step-by-step guide to developing a successful children's programme for the age group of 3 – 7 and 8 – 12 year old children as well.

Instructional techniques will help children to break out of their comfort zones and into new dimensions of life by presenting new games and activities to promote cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength gains for children from 3 to 12 years.

After you have completed this course you will be in the unique position of being able to convey the enjoyment of fitness to the members of your community, in fact to communities internationally.

Our thoroughly planned course will teach you:

• Understanding the concept of group exercise for children;
• Implementation of these concepts in class;
• Interpersonal and leadership skills required to become a
good instructor;
• The responsibilities of a group-exercise instructor;

Some of the major topics are:

• Physical and perceptual development
• Spatial perception/orientation / ability
• Motor-skills
• Social development
• Rationale purpose and effectiveness of the programmes.
• Class presentations will include warm-up / dance/
strengthening/dramatized play
• Main muscles and their functions
• Choreography and games
