Lindsay Salthouse, a qualified and experienced Beauty Therapist/ Aromatherapist/Phytotherapist, founded the company in 1991 and dedicated it to her great grandmother, Lady Frances Glover-Anderson, a Victorian Aristocratic Lady, also a herbalist who hand crafted basic skincare products during the 1800’s. We use all pure essential oils, high quality cold pressure plants oils, and almost 100% natural bases. We are free from Parabens, Petrochemicals, Sulphates, Phthalates, Formaldehydes, Synthetic preservatives, Silicones, Talc, Genetically modified ingredients, animal by- products and Mineral oils. Our 3 ranges products, more than 150 single product, comply to our natural/organic eco friendly protocol and we are the only South African company to be accredited with the Cruelty Free “Leaping Bunny” international USA/UK organization and NatureWatch UK. Certified Organic, non Certified Organic and Natural ingredients are used. We are registered member of “CTFA”, “Chamber of Commerce” and “Proudly South African”.

Our time at the expo was truly inspiring. From the moment visitors stepped into our stand, conversations flowed naturally — skincare routines, ingredient origins, and the importance of truly natural formulations. 🌿🤍
We also had the privilege of meeting representatives who work with trade and investment relations between South Africa and China. They were delighted to hear that Victorian Garden was one of just a handful of South African brands present at the China International Import Expo (CIIE). Their excitement and pride in seeing a South African company represented abroad was a powerful reminder of how far our journey has taken us. What a meaningful experience to meet people who understand our roots and our mission — it felt like home away from home. 🇿🇦🤝🇨🇳
Throughout the expo, we engaged in beautiful conversations with influencers and beauty professionals who share our passion for authentic, plant-powered skincare. A Beautifully Busy Day at Our Victorian Garden Stand 🤍

What an incredible turnout! Our stand was full from morning to evening, with customers exploring our products, asking questions, and discovering the beauty of natural South African skincare. Every member of our team was on their own mission — passionately sharing the story behind our formulations, explaining why our botanical ingredients stand out, and helping visitors find the products best suited to their skin.

One of the highlights of the day was our Rooibos Tea Station. We introduced many Chinese visitors to this proudly South African herbal tea — gently brewed, naturally caffeine-free, and rich in antioxidants. It was wonderful watching guests taste it for the first time and learn about its unique skin-loving properties (which also inspire several of our skincare ranges).

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, sampled our products, and shared in the excitement with us.
Moments like these remind us why we love what we do — bringing the purity, warmth, and heritage of South African botanicals to the world. 🌿✨
