Term 2 is on the go! 📚✨

With Term 1 done and dusted, it’s a great time to check in on how your little one is doing. Early support can make all the difference.

Here are a few key signs to look out for:
🔹 Struggles with balance or coordination
🔹 Gets tired quickly or avoids active play
🔹 Difficulty focusing or following instructions
🔹 Frustration with simple movement tasks

Every child develops at their own pace, but if something feels off, it’s always worth looking into.

Let’s support our little ones to grow, move, and thrive

A gentle reminder to pause, be present, and enjoy the people who matter most.

We know that quality family time does more than create special memories, it plays a vital role in a child’s development.

Time spent together helps build emotional security, boosts confidence, encourages communication, and supports healthy social and physical growth.

Whether it’s big laughs, active play, or quiet moments, these connections shape happy, well-rounded little humans.

Easter is just around the corner and it’s the perfect time to mix fun with movement!🐣🌸

We love turning everyday moments into opportunities for growth. This Easter, keep your little ones active and engaged with simple activities that support their development while they play:

🐰 Bunny Hop Races: Build leg strength, balance and coordination
🥚 Easter Egg Hunt: Encourage running, bending, and problem-solving

🎨 Creative Movement Games: Let kids act out animals or Easter stories to boost imagination and body awareness

🧺 Egg & Spoon Races: Improve focus, control, and hand-eye coordination

Movement is how children learn best, and when it’s wrapped in Easter fun, it’s even more magical!

Let them jump, run, explore and express themselves freely this holiday 💛

Some children have extra flexible joints, which can be fun, but it can also make everyday activities a bit tricky.

Watch for these signs:
Clumsiness – often bumping into things or struggling with coordination.

Difficulty with handwriting – finding it hard to control pencils or pens.

Weak hands and fingers – trouble gripping, holding, or manipulating small objects.

Frequent tripping or falling – joints may be loose, affecting balance.

Double-jointed movements – joints that bend further than usual.

If your child shows any of these signs, Meraki can help strengthen muscles, improve coordination, and make movement fun and safe!

What Is Hypermobility in Children?

A child’s joints move beyond the typical range, sometimes called being “double-jointed.”

This happens because their ligaments are extra elastic, which makes their joints looser than usual.

While some children show no issues, others may experience fatigue, joint pain, or difficulty with balance and coordination.

At Meraki, we focus on safe movement, strength, and stability to help hypermobile children move confidently and prevent injuries, all while having fun!
