"Funerals for the self need to be normalized; sacred spaces where to honor who you’ve been, or who you had to be and gently lay to rest that outdated version.

Spaces where to become who we decide to be moving forward.

Consciously and actively volunteering for your own burial need to be more celebrated events in society.

I’ve learned to no longer wait for change & transformation to be an absolute emergency, before deciding to breathe new life into my life.

These were the moments in life where deep down I knew that I was no longer satisfied nor fulfilled by my recurring habits, thought patterns and ways of relating with life. That SOMETHING had to change... me.

And as painful as it was to grieve an old version that had carried me through so much, a self-burial was always cathartic and liberating. It’s allowed me to bring forth versions of me that were purely intentional and of my own creation. A self I could be delighted by!

From these funerals of the self, one thing is clear: it wasn’t about me changing into someone different or “new,” but instead about becoming more of who I really was behind all the baggage I’d picked up along the way.

It was a deeper remembrance of my soul’s essence.

If you’re at a phase in life that feels like a threshold, a desire for a before and after, where your old self is in conflict with the new reality you’re creating for yourself, I got phenomenal news for you…

You were never meant to carry all that dead weight."

Every year on this date, people around the globe pause, speak, and act. To remind everyone that mental health matters.

First observed in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, World Mental Health Day was created to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and call us all to advocate for better and more accessible mental health care.

The goal is simple yet powerful: to shine light on the invisible burdens many carry, to encourage conversations, to push for systems that support healing, and to remind each other that no one should walk their mental health journey alone.

This year’s theme (mental health in humanitarian emergencies / access to services) is especially relevant; crises, disasters, and disruptions don’t only damage infrastructure, they impact minds, too. In times of instability, emotional distress is a natural response. And yet support is often lacking.

At Evexia, we believe mental health is a human right, not a privilege.

If you or someone you know could use a safe space to talk; to heal, to share, to learn... we’re here. 💚

Let’s use this day not just to post quotes, but to listen, reach out, connect. Because none of us should walk in silence.

"I understand it, but I don't accept it." —the boundary you may not know you needed

As in, "I understand where your behavior is coming from, but I am not willing to accept it."

Sometimes, this can also be directed at yourself.

Healing begins at the end of disrespect; the moment you stop tolerating less than your own standards.
