Medstep Clinic is licensed as a sub-acute physical rehabilitation facility. Medstep clinic accommodates a whole range of patients, from those whome require sub-acute high care due to strokes, motor-neuron diseases, post-cardio, orthopaedic or other surgery and to those who have had difiiculty with healing wounds or have complex medication regimens and co-morbidities. Medstep is also a step-down nursing facility. Medstep has a Multi-disciplinary Team approach centred on patient outcomes that contribute to a successful discharge and the best possible chance of a stable life in the community. The team consists of a Medical Doctor (24 hours on call), a Psychologist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Dietician and Social Worker. Medstep Clinic offers a full range of sub-acute physical rehabilitation services within a wide patient spectrum. We understand that each patient has unique needs. We are well equipped and staffed to care for long term ventilated patients, as well as patients with tracheostomies. We facilitate patients who require isolation, and we are licensed accordingly.
