Paraphasias are commonly associated with Aphasia. 🗣️

There are different types of Paraphasias, such as:

🔴 Phonemic Paraphasia: When a person mixes up or substitutes sounds in a word, like saying "boap" instead of "boat."

🔴 Semantic Paraphasia: When a person uses the wrong word that’s related in meaning, like saying "cat" instead of "dog."

🔴 Children naturally express themselves and learn through play.

🟠 In Speech Therapy, play-based approaches are crucial because they engage children in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.

🔵 Through play, therapists can create meaningful interactions that promote language development, social skills, and cognitive growth.

🟢 It allows children to practice communication in a relaxed setting, making it easier to address speech and language goals in a context that resonates with them.
