In loving memory of Merensia Groenewald, who passed away on 10/08/2025
She was an amazing dietitian, a tireless charity giver, and a radiant presence in every room she entered. Her work wasn’t about accolades or profit, but about lifting others up—nourishing bodies and spirits with grace, generosity, and an unwavering smile. She offered nutrition guidance, meal plans, and comfort to anyone who needed it, freely giving her knowledge and her time.
Nature was her sanctuary and her constant teacher. She moved through fields, forests, and gardens with a quiet reverence, and she found joy and balance in the company of horses. Horses taught her patience, trust, and the healing power of rhythm; she rode beneath the sun and breeze, always inviting others to walk with her in nature, to listen to the wind, to notice the changing seasons, and to discover nourishment in life’s simple, natural rhythms.
Close to God, she faced life with faith and a compassionate heart. Her prayers and her presence offered solace to many, and she carried hope into kitchens, clinics, and communities alike. Her kindness knew no hierarchy of need—she treated every person with soft, generous grace, from the weary parent planning tomorrow’s meals to the neighbor seeking a listening ear.
To those who knew her, she was the best person to walk this earth. Her softest, kindest heart held room for everyone, and her spirit inspired others to serve with patience, empathy, and joy. The legacy she leaves behind is measured not only in the plans she wrote or the meals she prepared, but in the countless lives she touched—families nourished, communities strengthened, and lives brightened by her gentle example.
We are profoundly saddened by her passing, yet we also celebrate the gift she was to us and to the world. May we honor Merensia’s memory by continuing to feed others with kindness, generosity, and a heart tuned to the good of all creation. May we seek nature’s lessons as she did, and may her spirit live on in every act of service, in every smile shared, and in every horse that carries forward her memory.
