RICE" for a sprained ankle is an acronym for the initial treatment steps: Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. This method is most effective for the first 24 to 48 hours after an injury to help reduce pain, swelling, and further damage.
R - Rest
Stop the activity that caused the injury.
Avoid putting weight on the injured ankle for 24 to 72 hours, and use crutches if needed.
Limit activity to prevent further injury.
I - Ice
Apply an ice pack (covered with a towel) to the sprained ankle for 15 to 20 minutes at a time.
Repeat this every few hours to help reduce swelling and pain.
Do not apply heat for the first 48 to 72 hours, as it can increase swelling.
C - Compression
Wrap the ankle with an elastic bandage to help reduce swelling.
Wrap from the toes toward the calf, ensuring it is snug but not so tight that it causes numbness, tingling, or increased pain.
Loosen the bandage if you notice any of these symptoms.
E - Elevation
When you are sitting or lying down, prop your ankle up on pillows.
Keep the ankle at or above the level of your heart to help reduce swelling.
When to see a doctor
Seek medical attention if the pain and swelling are severe or if you are unable to bear weight on the ankle.
A healthcare professional can determine the extent of the injury and recommend the best course of action, such as a splint or brace.

Hi Hanelie.

Apologies for the late response.
As we age some biochemical processes ("relating to the chemical processes and substances which occur within living organisms", like hormones, metabolism etc.) change in our bodies. These changes occur not only on a cellular level but also in the muscular system as well as the skeletal system. Medicinal mushrooms or any other supplement, (From Latin supplementum - “that which is added to supply a shortage”, “to provide something”) are only aid helpers in order for us to optain maximum health benefits. These medicinal mushrooms are believed to have benefits in the ageing process and overall well being, as well as aiding in ailments such as fatique, increased energy levels etc. (refer to article on the mushroom benefits). Also believed to aid in the daily life stress we are all aware of. Stress may cause symptoms like fatique, sluggish feeling and other related illnesses.
I have been experimenting with Cordyceps for too short a period, to be able to give an opinion on the long term effects it would have in the usage thereof but with the affect I am already experiencing, I am feeling positive. It is known that ancient Chinese have been using these mushrooms for decades, so there should be truth in this matter.
Every human being has his/her own biorhythm (- "a recurring cycle in the physiology or functioning of an organism, such as the daily cycle of sleeping and waking,
- "a cyclic pattern of physical, emotional, or mental activity believed to occur in a person's life"), physiological evaluation and biochemistry (depending on health status, injuries, illness conditions, habitual patterns etc.), so it differs from person to person and as I always say: 'what works for one may not always work for another'.
To answer you then; yes, it should benefit age related energy levels for the better. As mentioned, I have been trying out the Cordyceps mushrooms and most certainly do feel a more stable, consise energy improvement througout the day.
Note: please always be advised to look at side effects on usuage of any substances.

We must however be mindful, that to achieve a healthy lifestyle there are other factors that play a significant role in maintaining this healthy life style, such as; a good nights rest, regular exercise, water consumption (afterall the human body consists of average 45-60% water depending the age), a balanced diet, as well as a positive mindset and management of stress levels.
I hope this was helpful. 🤗

**Go Natural, Go Green.-*
*Here it is All about Natural Nature!*

Hi eveyone, 🙋‍♀️ yes, I am back with an interesting read on the health benefits of Medicinal Mushrooms.

Nature offers us the best natural alternative source of medicines ~ one such a powerful medicinal product is Medicinal Mushrooms.

*What are Medicinal Mushrooms?*

Medicinal mushrooms have been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine, and more recently in Western medicine, to treat a variety of ailments. They are known for their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and immune-boosting properties, making them an ideal choice for those looking to slow the ageing process and maintain good health internally as well as externally. Medicinal mushrooms can be eaten fresh (either raw or cooked) by adding them to soups, stews, and salads.
They do come in powder form (can be added to your favorite smoothies) as well as in capsule form.
You can buy them from any Health store or reputable Organic online growers.

Here are only a few of the popular Medicinal Mushroom types and their health benefits:

*Cordyceps Militaris mushrooms*~ are known for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. They have been used to boost athletic performance, improve respiratory health and fight fatigue.
*~Lions Mane mushrooms*~ are known to boost cognitive function, relieve anxiety and depression, and support the immune system.
*~Shiitake Mushrooms*~ possess strong anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties and have been known to enhance heart health, reduce cholesterol levels, and regulate blood sugar.
*~Chaga Mushrooms*~
Boosts digestion and clears/protects skin
Chaga has been studied for its use in skin and stomach disorders. Chaga has over 200 pre-clinical cell studies showing promising health benefits including such as being high in antioxidants, supporting digestion, immune support, modulating inflammation, containing key anti-microbial substances, and being adaptogenic.
*~Turkey tail Mushroom*~ improves immune function by stimulating cytokine production, increasing natural killer cells, and through other immune-boosting functions.
Protein-bound polysaccharides (PBP) found in Turkey Tail have the most research-backed immune-supportive effects.
*~Reishi Mushroom*~ Sleep aid and potent immunomodulator.
The polysaccharides in reishi mushroom are associated with immune function, and if taken over time, reishi can significantly support the immune system. It can also support restful sleep and a calm mind, reduce occasional stress and restlessness, can support lung and respiratory health, and support balanced blood sugar levels.

Okay , so the above are only a few popular Medical Mushroom types overviews.

From personal trial with Medical Grade Codyceps Mushrooms, I can vouche that my energy levels have increased and fatigue feeling has improved for the better. So my vote is a definite 'Yes', it is no scam!!!Yippee.👍🏻

Please be wise and mindful as not to purchase or eat just any mushroom unless it is Medical Grade Certified or Organically grown!!!!
Always consult a doctor before using alternative natural medicines in combination with pharmaceutical medicines or replacement thereof.

( Don't eat the mushrooms growing on the lawn or in a forest!!!!!!) 🤢🤭😜 (lol)

Lets take a look at the General Daily overall vitamins and minerals you require for a healthy body and in return a healthier lifestyle.

1. A good Multivitamin - which contains Vitamins and minerals.
2. Vitamin C - 1000mg. (Ascorbic Acid). Vit C acts as a catalyst in the absorbtion of other vitamins in particular that of non-hemede iron, which is found in plant foods such as leafy greens. Keeps the immune system boosted.
3. Omega's - Krill oil is the better option. Most Krill oils do not contain iodine but always check the ingredients first in case you are allergic to iodine. Any Omega oils can suffice.
4. Magnesium - Sports people benefit from magnesium as it reduces inflammation and therefore reduces the amount of muscle soreness and muscle fatique that occurs after a workout. Magnesium also increases production of ATP(adenosine triphosphate) which is energy that fuels muscle contraction and aids in tired muscles and muscle cramps. Benefcial for ladies going through menopause and for those who suffer from restless legs. (Magnesium is to be taking at night).
5. Hydrolized Marine Collagen Powder - aids with healthy ligaments, joints, tendons , muscular system and promotes healthy skin, bone and hair. Also beneficial especially for women in menopuse who have low or no estrogen production. (Estrogen supports collagen production by binding to receptors in the skin known as fibroblasts. Fibroblast are responsible for collagen production which is the protein which gives skin its strength and flexibility and elasticity.)
6. Calcium - for ageing and bone osteo density.
7. Important not to neglect 20 minutes walk even if only 3 x a week to get the cardio vascular system healthy and pumping. *And of course my favorite:*
8. Stretches, stretches stretches!!! Keeps you flexible which in turn creates mobility!! Releases the days stress from the muscles, prevents muscles that suffered a lack of oxygen therfore produces new oxygen which prevents muscle spasms.
Creates flexibily which you will thank yourself for doing your stetches for when you age you will be able to bend with ease and tie your shoe laces.😜

Remember, *Nature* is always the best way in consuming your vitamins and minerals but due to the chemicals etc. in our foods today we do sometimes need the extra boost, especially for those who don't consume a healthy 'Green' diet.
Note: take only reccommended dosis i.o.w that which a human body is able to absorb. Over consumption of supplements are excreted out of the body as waste.
Please take your own medical dispositions and history in consideration when taking supplements.

Keep Healthy. Keep Mobile!!👌🏻
