Sales Manager - Pharmaceutical (Pretoria)
Health Window is looking to hire an experienced Sales Manager to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape.
Role & Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Ex*****on:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key client and healthcare professionals.
Establish long-term partnerships that result in repeat business and customer loyalty.
Sales Performance & Reporting:
Monitor and report on sales performance against sales plan, KPIs and targets, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and analyses for senior management.
Performance Management:
Set and track sales targets, working closely with the team to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual objectives.
Provide ongoing analysis of sales performance, identify trends, and adjust tactics accordingly.
Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, outlining progress, opportunities, and challenges.
Market Intelligence & Product Knowledge: Stay informed on the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory changes, market trends, and new products.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Regularly analyse and interpret sales data, performance metrics, and financial reports to identify areas of improvement and growth opportunities.
Drive innovation in customer reporting and analytics.
Skills & Traits
Experience with CRM systems and sales performance tracking tools.
Previous experience in effectively managing a sales team.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business, or related field (Pharmacist background preferred).
3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or a similar role with a strong sales record.
In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory environments, market trends, and customer needs.
Strong quantitative skills with the ability to analyse data, forecast sales, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, building a client base, and managing key accounts.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
