Statement on the Tragic Passing of Mthokozisi Mvelase Khuzwayo

Leroi Funeral Services extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Mthokozisi Mvelase Khuzwayo, the 27-year-old e-hailing driver who was brutally killed in a senseless act of violence at Maponya Mall in Soweto on August 13, 2025.
We are profoundly saddened by this horrific incident, which has shaken our community and highlighted the ongoing dangers faced by e-hailing drivers in their line of work.

Mthokozisi's life was cut short in a manner that no one should ever endure, and our hearts go out to his aunt, Zanele Khuzwayo, and the entire family as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

Leroi Funeral Services calls for unity in condemning such acts of violence and urges authorities to take swift action to ensure the safety of all transport workers.
