Gail Louw Biokineticist Hi, my name is Gail, and my passion is helping people achieve their fitness goals, whether it be rehabing an old or a new injury, weight loss, etc. diabetes.

I offer specialised supervised exercise for the rehabilitation of injuries and/or the management of chronic diseases, e.g. I have a special interest in orthopaedic rehabilitation of backs, necks and shoulders. I also offer pilates classes and Fitness Assessments.

One of the biggest social benefits of exercise is just that – an improved social life!

The social benefits of exercise include a sense of community, boosted self-esteem, and increased empathy. In addition, better accountability, discipline, motivation, and goal-setting are all benefits you can expect when fitness becomes a part of your regular routine.

Physical fitness and exercise also help youth to develop important skills such as conflict resolution, cooperation with peers, and social skills such as leadership and fine-tuning motor skills. Muscle Mend Recovery Boots are being used to aid recovery after a full knee replacement. The patient is 1 1/2 weeks post op (see the picture).The sequential compression of the boot from the toes up to the thigh helps to reduce ankle edema and swelling around the operated area and helps to prevent Deep Vein Thrombosis(DVT).

Muscle Mend Recovery Boots are also good for other circulatory problems, lymph drainage problems, especially in cancer patients where the lymph nodes were removed and helps speed up recovery in muscles after intense training allowing the athlete to train harder with shorter recovery periods.
