BLESSED SAMHAIN Southern Hemisphere 🎃

Traditionally celebrated on April 30th- May 1st in the Southern Hemisphere, Samhain marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the darker half of the year. Samhain is a time of reflection, death and rebirth 🥀

This is the time when the veil is at it’s thinnest between the worlds of the living and the dead. The powers of divination and supernatural communication are strengthened on Samhain night, and it is considered a powerful time to communicate with lost loved ones 👻

Pagans celebrate Samhain as an acknowledgment that without death, there can be no rebirth. It is common for witches to prepare a feast for the dead on Samhain night, when offerings of food and drink are left for the spirits. Candles or lanterns are traditionally burned at each window of the house to guide friendly spirits home and keep away unfriendly souls 🕯

At Samhain, the darkness increases and the Goddess reigns in her powerful aspect of the Crone. The God passes into the underworld to become reborn of the Goddess again at Yule 🧡

This week carries a more cautious and strategic energy. The 7 of Swords highlights hidden motives, unspoken truths, and situations where not everything is as it seems.

Be aware of where you may be avoiding something, or where others may not be fully transparent. This is not about fear — it is about awareness. Observe more than you react. Not everything needs to be confronted immediately; sometimes the wiser move is to step back and assess.
