Laser pointers may look harmless, but they can pose a serious risk to children’s eyes. 🚨👁️

Handheld laser toys are often treated like play items, yet even a brief exposure can damage the retina, the part of the eye responsible for vision. What makes this even more concerning is that laser injuries can happen instantly and may not cause pain right away.

Because there may be no immediate symptoms, a child might not realise their eye has been injured until vision changes occur. This is why laser pointers should never be aimed at the eyes or used as toys.

Protecting young eyes starts with awareness and supervision.
