Sheila Mbele Khama is a distinguished civil society leader and public health advocate serving as the 1st National Deputy Chairperson of the Civil Society Forum (CSF) within the South African National AIDS Council (SANAC) and National Research Sector Chairperson, as well as Co-Chairperson of the C20 engagement with the G20 process. She brings strategic leadership to advancing rights-based, community-centred approaches to addressing HIV, TB and STI priorities, strengthening civil society voice in national policy and implementation platforms. Sheila is recognised for her commitment to evidence-informed advocacy, community mobilisation, and human rights integration in health policy, and for fostering collaborative relationships across government, civil society networks, and international partners to drive equitable health outcomes and influence structural change
