Colds & Flu Edition 🤧
❌ MYTH: “Antibiotics will help me get better faster.”
✅ FACT: Colds and flu are caused by viruses, not bacteria—so antibiotics won’t help. Rest, fluids, and supportive care are key!
❌ MYTH: “If I exercise, I’ll make my cold worse.”
✅ FACT: Light movement (like a short walk or gentle stretching) can actually help you feel better—but listen to your body. If symptoms are severe (fever, chest tightness), rather rest.
❌ MYTH: “Chest physio is only for very sick patients.”
✅ FACT: Physiotherapy can help loosen mucus, improve breathing, and support recovery—even in milder respiratory conditions.
❌ MYTH: “You must just ‘wait it out’.”
✅ FACT: There are ways to actively support your recovery—breathing exercises, posture, hydration, and guided physio techniques can all help.
💡 PHYSIO TIP:
Try deep breathing:
Inhale slowly through your nose, expand your ribs, hold 2–3 seconds, then exhale fully. Repeat 5–10 times to help clear your lungs.
