Vitamin D – The Underrated Vitamin

Vitamin D is essential for health, yet deficiency is widespread — even in countries with abundant sunlight. Although we get some Vitamin D from foods, most of it is produced in the skin through sun exposure, and dietary intake alone is often too low.

Both Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) and Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) are used in supplements, but research shows that Vitamin D3 is significantly more effective at raising and maintaining healthy vitamin D levels.
