DEALING WITH AGGRESSION OVER THE FESTIVE SEASON

It’s that time of year again, she says, rolling her eyes cast heavenward. I’m finding anger, frustration and irritation everywhere around me. It’s exhausting and chaotic. For instance, a taxi driver screamed at me while I was trying to get past another taxi that had stopped in the middle of the circle. It wasn't pleasant.

I like to refer to the wisdom of Don Jose Ruiz, author of The Five Agreements.

“Don’t take anything personally,” and “we’re all doing our best.”

I particularly resonate with the latter. At any one time, we are only trying to do our best, no matter how we feel or our level of consciousness.”

This is where therapists come in. After my clients receive their massage, some of them have tears in their eyes, not because they are in pain, but because I calmed them down and made them feel heard and appreciated.

Having said that, we are open over the festive season. What better time to soothe frazzled nerves, sore backs and feet?

Our healing centre is safe, calming and welcoming. Our hands and hearts are here to walk with you on your journey to calm and presence. Let this be your Xmas present to yourself.
