My 2 absolute non-negotiable rules for kidsโ eye health: ๐
1๏ธโฃ No rubbing eyes โ ever.
Eye rubbing can damage the cornea, worsen allergies, increase infection risk and, in some children, even contribute to conditions like keratoconus. Teach them to dab gently or use eye drops instead.
2๏ธโฃ No more than 2 hours of screen time a day.
Too much near-work on screens can cause digital eye strain, headaches, dry eyes and speed up myopic progression (worsening short-sightedness). Kidsโ eyes need regular breaks, outdoor light and balanced visual activities.
These two simple rules make a massive difference in your childโs long-term vision.
