Tarot Tuesday - So often clients ask me how one can learn to read the Tarot well. Like anything its practise, practise and learning, and practise. For me the card in the Tarot that perfectly sums this up is the Eight of Pentacles. So here you go two versions both beautiful illustrations of the commitment required to master Tarot. And Yes anybody can read Tarot you don't need to be especially intuitive or psychic (but that is for another post).

A different card this time from the Lenormand deck. Lenormand is a divination system comprising 36 cards as opposed to the 78 of the normal Tarot deck. Lenormand also focuses on practical matters and not the psychological or archetypal energies of Tarot. A different but highly effective system for getting concise practical answers to everyday and long term life questions.

Tarot Tuesday. Temperance reminds us to keep things in balance. Water to water balancing mind, heart and emotions. Straddling water and earth balancing yourself and earning in the liminal spaces between. Had to share this gorgeous Temperature card.

Tarot Tuesday - most favourite experience. When the Querant (the person one is reading for) starts nodding their head with a smile as you work through the reading. Tarot giving feedback to the Querant that makes them smile in recognition of what is being said that resonates with their circumstances. As always good questions elicite good answers and often Tarot adds in the "juice" needed for a Querant to recognise how personal the reading truly is. :-)

Tarot Tuesday. The Tower - Major arcana card. It sure as heck feels like the Tower in the world today. These two cards provide some powerful artwork that give a clear idea of what this card is about. If you think it is about break down of old structures, chaos and disaster you'd be pretty much on the money. This card indicates that power structures will fall (see the crown in the card on the left) .. take a look at the news headlines (pretty accurate I'd say). When this card turns up in a reading its not very welcome but it portrays an important truth. Established orders, hierarchies, life patterns, bad behaviours, and sometimes just life gets hit with a tad of chaos. There is no-one on earth who will not have this arrive in their life. Like the trickster energy but much more powerful this card tells us that you are in for a big shakeup and that is often good. Life cannot always glide smoothly on forever we often need the strong energy of a chaos to clear away stuck and broken patterns and systems and hierarchies. While I find the current chaos being caused in the broader world very unsettling sometimes we need the tower to crumble and fall down so we can start with a clear slate. In readings it's very important to look at the cards around this one, look carefully at the question you asked and then look for ways to mitigate the difficulties this chaos can cause and sometimes it means accepting that this is a case of the only way is through and then rebuild. May this week bring you less chaos in personal life and may you make opportunties to go within and be still and find joy in your journey.

Still basking in the joy of our Reiki Share over the weekend. Despite the rain we had a nice turnout with some unable to make it this time but planning on the next one. Reiki shares are a wonderful way to connect and replenish ourselves as practitioners in a fun, friendly and non-formal setting. Looking forward to the next one.

Tarot Tuesday - Ace of Wands . A gorgeous selection of creative imagery depicting this card. The Ace represents among other things the raw aspect of the element, a beginning, opportunity but it always reminds one that the querent must take action to make use of the opportunity. Wands represent fire, will, inspiration, passion, drive and much more. It is important to also look at the cards surrounding the Ace to gain a full picture of what Tarot is telling one in answer to your question.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Like recover your massage bed. This gorgeous bamboo frame has served me and my clients for many years but its cover eventually started to go. After much research I decided I could do this - well turns out I can. Harder than I thought but I'm pleased with the results one well covered and even more cushy and comfortable. Excited for clients to try it out.

Tarot Tuesday - in honour of the eclipse. The Moon card of the Major Arcana. This card can be troublesome to understand until you understand the symbolism that it is built upon. The Moon comes out at night and it illuminates the night sky (until i doesn't) this represents it shining light on the subconscious mind that we all have. it represents the subconscious, the hidden, intuition and illusions that we are dealing with. Depending on the question posed, the position of the card, the surrounding cards will all tell us what specifically The Moon is calling us to look at. Not visible in South Africa but may your eclipse be interesting.

A Reminder - upcoming next week the Lunar Eclipse in Virgo. Eclipses bring deep medicine they bring to light the layers that we can shed in order to step through a doorway into a new way of being for ourselves. This lunar eclipse conjuncts to the South Node which bring a deep release, being in Virgo it opens opportunities for a sacred refinement and a return to truth. It is a clearing of the path for the year ahead.

On Feb 20th Saturn and Neptune met at 0 degrees in Aries, crossing a threshold that has been years in the making - Neptune has spent a decade in Pisces, Saturn has spent years there shaping and testing what Neptune dissolved. DAYS LATER Mercury stations retrograde in Pisces. We are being asked to turn around and look at the waters we have been through during this retrograde period. Mercury in Pisces asks you to discover: What did it all mean? (in an embodied way); What did the last decade teach you about your dreams, about illusion, about surrender, about boundaries. About where you dissolve toooo much! About where you finally softened enough to heal? The tide has gone out and Mercury invites you to look at what remains on your shoreline. There is a tension here : Mercury is dissolving old narratives in Pisces while the rest of the sky is preparing for the Aries ignition. Are you ready?
