The Essence of Me

I am many things to many people but the essence of who I am is a teacher, healer and counsellor.

My journey and path to wellness began after I was diagnosed with breast cancer 15 years ago. My interest in natural living and healing came after my own recovery from breast cancer, turning to holistic, natural and alternative therapies and treatments to support my body after chemotherapy. My own spiritual journey became one of self-discovery, whereby I started to look at my life and the choices I had made which had contributed to my illness.

This journey helped me discover my life’s purpose and the true meaning of life. Even though I was living what I thought was a healthy lifestyle in that I exercised regularly, ate healthily, didn’t smoke or drink, I still developed cancer. The one factor which I had never given much thought to, was my emotional state of being.

When I looked back on my life and the choices I made, I saw the integral part that particularly my emotions and the emotional abuse I experienced had played in the manifestation of my disease. It is important for illness and disease prevention to be healthy and balanced in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of ourselves.
