Hope. Light.Healing. Counsellor

Due to my illness I can not teach at school or drive anymore. It doesn’t stop me from my calling as a teacher as I still have a virtual platform to use to be part of kiddies holistic development and do what I love most.

I am a Neuro Dynamix Practitioner focusing on kids physical development,

their fine motor as well as gross motor skills.

I am a counsellor, helping and supporting kids from all ages as well as adults and family therapy.

I do a Reading Readiness Prigramme, helping our kiddies with their phonics and reading skills.

I do formal School Readiness Assessments for Grade 1.

I have a service dog as my seizure alert dog but she is also being trained as a therapy dog to help with counselling sessions which I am so excited for.

Screening can be done thru out the year to see where the child is at, it tests the whole child approach, the test takes about an hour and a half, it is more informal in the beginning of the year.

My biggest reward for teaching kids and working with kids is to look at the world through the eyes of a child, it keeps my inner child alive

It is this time of year where Grade R learners are getting ready to progress to Grade 1. I do School Readiness Assessments to ensure the kids are fully equipped for the challenges in Grade 1. Progressing from a concrete learning environment in Grade R to an abstract learning environment of reading and writing in Grade 1.
