🔬 What happens in diabetes?
Your body uses a hormone called insulin (made by the pancreas) to move sugar from your blood into your cells for energy. In diabetes:
Either your body doesn’t make enough insulin
Or it can’t use insulin properly
This causes high blood sugar levels.

⚠️ Common Symptoms
Frequent urination
Excessive thirst
Increased hunger
Fatigue
Blurred vision
Slow-healing wounds

🩺 Complications (if not controlled)
Heart disease
Kidney damage
Nerve damage
Eye problems (vision loss)

🛠️ Management & Prevention
Healthy diet (low sugar, balanced meals)
Regular exercise
Maintaining healthy weight
Monitoring blood sugar
Medications or insulin (if needed)

🧠 What is Autism?
Autism is not an illness or disease — it’s a difference in how the brain works.
It’s called a “spectrum” because it affects people in different ways and levels.

🔍 Common Signs of Autism
👶 In children
Limited eye contact
Delayed speech or no speech
Repeating words or phrases (echolalia)
Prefers playing alone
Strong reactions to sounds, lights, or touch
Repetitive behaviors (rocking, hand flapping)
🧑 In older children & adults
Difficulty understanding social cues
Trouble with conversations
Strong focus on specific interests
Preference for routines (gets upset with changes)
Sensory sensitivities (noise, textures, crowds)

🧬 What causes Autism?
The exact cause isn’t fully known, but it involves:
Genetics
Brain development differences
🚫 Important: Autism is NOT caused by vaccines, bad parenting, or diet.

💡 Strengths often seen in autism
Many people with autism may have:
Strong memory
Attention to detail
Deep knowledge in specific areas
Honest and direct communication

🛠️ Support & Management
There is no “cure,” but support helps people thrive:
Speech therapy
Occupational therapy
Behavioral support
Structured routines
Supportive environments

❤️ Important to understand
Autism is lifelong
People with autism can live full, meaningful lives
Early support makes a big difference

🌀 Vertigo (That Spinning Feeling)

Vertigo is when you feel like you or the room is spinning , even when you’re standing still. It can be unsettling, but it’s often treatable.

⚠️ Common Causes:
* Inner ear problems (most common)
* Sudden head movement
* Dehydration
* Low blood pressure
* Ear infections

🩹 What To Do:
1️⃣ Sit or lie down immediately
Prevent falling — don’t try to “push through it”.
2️⃣ Keep your head still
Sudden movements can make it worse.
3️⃣ Hydrate 💧
Drink water — dehydration can trigger dizziness.
4️⃣ Move slowly
When getting up, do it gradually.

🚨 Seek Medical Help Immediately If:
* Severe headache
* Double vision or trouble speaking
* Weakness or numbness
* Chest pain
* Fainting
These could signal something serious.

⏳ When To See a Doctor:
* Vertigo keeps coming back
* Lasts more than a few hours
* Associated with hearing loss or ringing in the ears

💡 Quick Tip:
* Avoid driving or working at heights while dizzy.

That spinning feeling can throw you off balance — literally.
Stay still, stay safe, and get checked if it doesn’t settle.

⚠️ Stepped Wrong & Sudden Pain

That sudden sharp pain is often a sprain, strain, or muscle pull — common but still needs care.

🩹 What To Do Immediately:
1️⃣ Stop & Rest
* Don’t “walk it off” — you can make it worse.
2️⃣ Ice It ❄️
* Apply ice for 15–20 minutes every 2–3 hours (first 24–48 hrs).
3️⃣ Support It
* Use a bandage or brace if available.
4️⃣ Elevate
* Keep the injured area raised to reduce swelling.

🚨 Get Medical Help If:
* You can’t put weight on it
* Severe pain or swelling
* You heard a pop or snap
* The joint looks deformed
* Pain isn’t improving after 1–2 days
⚠️ Common Causes:
* Ankle sprain
* Knee twist
* Muscle strain
* Ligament injury
💡 Quick Tip:
After 48 hours, switch to gentle movement — but no heavy strain until pain improves.
Your body gave you a warning — don’t ignore it.
Rest now or regret it later 😉

Tummy Bug 🤢
* Drink plenty of fluids (water, oral rehydration) 💧
* Eat light foods (toast, rice, bananas)

⚠️ Get medical help if:
* Signs of dehydration (dry mouth, dizziness, little urine)
* Vomiting/diarrhea lasts more than 2–3 days
* Blood in vomit or stool
* Severe stomach pain or fever

🚑 If symptoms are severe, contact medical professionals immediately.
