Not all depression looks like staying in bed.
Some of it looks like showing up. Smiling. Serving. Coping.
“Functional depression” is real.
You can love your family deeply, work hard, keep everything running… and still feel like you’re silently drowning inside.
If this is you — you are not weak. You are not dramatic. And you are definitely not alone. 🤍
God sees the parts of you that no one else does.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” – Psalm 34:18
If you’re struggling, here are gentle ways to cope:
• 🤍 Tell one safe person how you’re really feeling.
• 🤍 Book the appointment — therapy is strength, not shame.
• 🤍 Lower the bar. Survival days are allowed.
• 🤍 Get outside for 10 minutes of sunlight and fresh air.
• 🤍 Move your body in a way that feels kind, not punishing.
• 🤍 Pray honestly. God can handle your real emotions.
• 🤍 Rest without earning it.
You don’t have to carry everything quietly.
It’s okay to need help.
It’s okay to not be okay.
If this resonates, share it. Someone near you might be fighting silently. 🤍
