Berkheya rigida – Wildedissel / Wild thistle
This plant with its beautiful yellow flowers and sharp spines at the end of the leaf tips, is easily classified as a w**d.
The good fortune is that it does have medicine for our bodies.
The flowers that sit at the tips of the stems, as well as 2 to 3 leaves around the flower are used. These flowers will help with stress, especially stomach pain that turns into an ulcer.
It also helps with menstrual cramps.
Method:
Cut off a flower with 2 to 3 leaves around it.
Pour a cup of boiling water on and let it steep for 10 min
Take out the flower and add another 3 cups of cold water.
(Total 1 liter).
Store in the fridge and drink half a cup of this water regularly.
Use only for 2 days.
For a stomach ulcer, it can be repeated after 5 days, but use only 2 days at a time.

Hierdie wonder swam groei gewoonlik op harde houd. Hier by ons groei dit gewoonlik op die Soetdoring bome en verkieslik die wat bietjie nader aan water staan.
Soos enige kruie moet dit met goeie oordeel geoes en gebruik word. Dit kan tot 5 jaar in die natuur vat voordat hulle begin spore maak.
Medisinale waarde:
Hierdie swam word nie gewoonlik geëet nie, maar dit blyk dat dit ‘n baie goeie teenvoeter is teen veroudering en kanker. Volgens party navorsings word hierdie mushroom as die rede gegee waarom party mense, veral in China, baie oud geword het.
Hierdie wonder van die natuur het blykbaar sy eie toorgoed in wat jou stamselle weer laat groei. Stamselle is nuttig in die liggaam aangesien dit verslete selle of weefsels wat beskadig is, herstel. Veral in die geval van bloed, vel, die weefsels van die spysverteringskanaal, sowel as by die immuunsisteem, hoë bloeddruk, cholesterol, hart siektes, lewer en niere, asma, verkoue of griep en dit verminder ook stres.
Gebruik tinktuur of maak skywe droog en drink dit soos ‘n tee.
1cm x 1cm sal voldoende wees.
Gooi 1 kop kookwater op.
Drink 1 x per dag.

BALLOTA AFRICANA - Kattekruid. Hierdie plant is 'n goeie vriend in die koue tyd en help ook met covid. Sy blare is harerig en die wit, ligblou tot pers blommetjies groei in klossies al teen die stam. Die jong klein blaartjies kan in ‘n slaai gegooi word om die familie se gesondheid te verbeter, maar die ouer blare is bitter.
Medisinale waarde
Die blaar gedeelte word gebruik vir koors, seer keel, masels, verkoue, asma brongitus, hart probleme, heesheid, slaapeloosheid, maagpyn, lewer probleme, ingewanskoors, blaas of nier infeksie, kopseer en atritis.
Saam met wilde als is dit goed vir verkoue, griep en covid.
Indien dit vir asma en hoes probleme gebruik word, kan ‘n paar fennel blare of saadjies by gevoeg word by die tee.

Gedroogde kruie is 'n moet vir enige vinnige kok. Hulle voeg 'n goeie smaak by en is die perfekte manier om byna enige resep aantreklik te maak. Gedroogde kruie het 'n ander geur as vars kruie. En hulle hou baie langer as vars kruie, wat net 'n paar dae goed is, selfs wanneer dit in die yskas gestoor word. Om die meeste geur uit jou gedroogde kruieversameling te kry, volg hierdie wenke.

Kyk vervaldatums! Die meeste droë kruie begin na ses maande hul geur verloor. As hulle nie sterk ruik as jy ruik nie, gooi hulle weg en koop 'n nuwe bottel.

Voordat jy die kruie by die kos voeg, druk die blare tussen jou vingers. Dit help om vlugtige olies vry te stel en verhoog die geur.

Voeg die gedroogde kruie (en vars kruie) eerder aan die einde van die kookproses by.

Die verhouding vir die gebruik van gedroogde kruie tot vars is 1: 3. Met ander woorde, as 'n resep vir 1 eetlepel vars basiliekruid vra, gebruik 1 teelepel gedroogde basiliekruid. Of as 'n resep 2 teelepels gedroogde oregano benodig, gebruik 2 eetlepels vars oregano. Of jy kan 'n kombinasie van beide vir 'n lekker geur gebruik.

Gedroogde kruie kan gekombineer word om jou eie persoonlike speserye te maak. Gebruik jou gunstelinge om jou eie persoonlike smaak te skep.

Stoor gedroogde kruie en speserye op 'n koel, droë plek.
