The story behind Opti Me Lifestyle

There was a time when I felt utterly lost, trapped by alcohol as a coping mechanism at night. What started as a glass of wine became a bottle or two. Each day was a battle against anxiety and depression, with confidence feeling like a distant dream.
But then, I decided to stop drinking and take control of my health. It wasn’t easy, but it was the best decision I ever made. As I pursued a career as a health coach, I discovered a passion and purpose I never knew existed.

Through dedication and hard work, I broke free from self-doubt and negative mindsets. Learning about nutrition, blood sugar balancing, exercise, and holistic wellness transformed my body, mind, and spirit. I became stronger, more confident, and empowered to take charge of my life.

Today, I am a testament to the power of transformation. When you prioritize your health and take the first step toward positive change, anything is possible. That’s why I say, ditch the processed and packaged stuff when you can and embrace cooking from scratch with fresh ingredients. It's important to shift away from the idea that finishing everything on the plate is a must. Instead, teach children to listen to their bodies and recognize their hunger and fullness cues. Encouraging them to leave food on their plate when they're satisfied helps them develop a healthy, intuitive relationship with food. At the same time, make sure they understand that the next meal will be at the scheduled time, preventing the belief that refusing food now will result in immediate alternatives. Here’s one of the best advice I can offer: If you don’t want your kids indulging in sweets or unhealthy snacks, don’t bring them into the house! We have a simple rule—if it’s in the house, anyone can eat it (except for the grown-up stuff like coffee or wine). The trick is to only stock up on foods you’re happy for your kids to enjoy. Children learn more from what you do than what you say. If you want them to eat healthier, start by setting the example yourself. You can’t expect your kids to give up junk food if you’re still indulging in it.

Embrace a healthy lifestyle, and show them how good it feels. By doing this, you'll better understand the challenges they face, like cravings and sugar withdrawal.

Work as a team with your spouse or partner. Mixed messages from parents can confuse kids. The same goes for grandparents and caregivers—make sure they’re on board with your approach. It may be tough, but consistency is key.
