Dr. Nkabinde is a specialist Obstetrician/ Gynaecologist. She is a graduate of the prestigious Nelson Mandela School of Medicine, a faculty of medicine for the University of KZN. She qualified as a gynaecologist in 1993, becoming the second African female doctor in the country to be registered with the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of South Africa. king as a consultant/ lecturer in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nelson Mandela School of Medicine. Her duties involved teaching of undergraduate medical students, supervision and training of postgraduate students, as well as rendering clinical services to obstetrics and gynaecology patients at King Edward VIII Hospital. King Edward Hospital is one of the biggest hospitals in KZN and one of the referral centers for all complicated obstetric and gynaecology cases from the entire province. In 1996, Dr. Nkabinde moved to Johannesburg and started a private practice at Clinix Tshepo Themba Private Hospital where, she has over the years, built a large patient clientele. Majority of her patients have come to her practice as a direct result of word of mouth referrals. She has also developed strong relationships with private general medical practitioners servicing the residents of the Soweto and Kagiso area. This practice has now moved to 17 South Road Lindhaven, which is situated in the Westrand close to Westgate shopping centre. The practice has provided Dr Nkabinde with more facilities allowing her to deliver more comprehensive services to her patients in conjunction with tranquil and picturesque surroundings making all appointments a lasting experience.
