YOU GO TO GYM EVERYDAY DO CORE EXERCISES, BUT YOUR LOWER BACK IS KILLING YOU. WHY?

So you can do 100 crunches a day but that won’t strengthen your back until you learn how to engage you TA muscle

transverse abdominis is located in the abdomen immediately inside of the internal oblique muscle. It is one of the innermost muscles of the abdomen and it arises from the inguinal ligament, iliac crest, the inner surfaces of the lower six ribs and from the thoracolumbar fascia.

HOW DO I ENGAGE MY TA MUSCLE?
Lay on your back.
Bent your knees, feet flat
Put your finger right next to your hip bones on the inside
Pull that muscle down and away from your fingers ( if you give a slight cough you can feel it activate)

EXERCISES FOR TA MUSCLE:
Heel taps
Dead bug
Ring compressions
Bridge

Did you know a child 5- 18 years need 60min of moderate exercise a day!

So start early to establish healthy habits

A child who starts early will also show more interest in sport and activity and less interest in screen time.

Strength training can start young if there is supervision and it does not lead to weight lifting.

A Biokineticist focus on each child individual needs for example clumsiness, poor posture, muscle imbalances ect.

Your child will be in a safe environment with a professional Biokineticist who is trained and qualified to exercise your child.

Elements of fitness in kids include
Endurance - running
Strength - playing on monkey bars
Flexibility - bend down to tie shoes

Benefits of exercise:
Improve mood and concentration
Higher self esteem
Aid in weight management
Help ball skills and eye hand coordination
And improves clumsiness.

Do you give up after 2 weeks because you don’t see a change on the scale?

Here is 3 reasons why:
- muscle soreness: soreness is the breakdown of muscle tissue. This happens to protect the muscles when exercising.
- fluid retention: you body keeps more water in to protect the muscles. This can result to a 2kg increase in weight.
- increase in muscle size: when you exercise you muscles get larger in size.
