After 35 Incredible Years…
It’s hard to believe that 35 years have passed since our first clients discovered life without being weighed down. The transformations we’ve seen—both physical and personal—have been truly inspiring.
After much thought, I’ve decided it’s time to retire and explore new interests (yes, that includes perfecting guilt-free afternoon naps!).

Important dates:
May 31, 2026: Last day to accept new clients.
December 1, 2026: Clinic officially closes.

Weight loss doesn’t just happen by going to the gym and turning down desserts. My weight-loss journey started after the birth of my daughter in 2017. I felt very disconnected from my body always tired, unhealthy and uncomfortable. I was completely frightened just looking at myself in the mirror.

I started my personal Cohen’s eating plan on 02 April 2018 for the first time, I weighed 104.6 kg that morning. The diet itself is very easy to follow. In October 2018 I lost a total of 41,6 kg.

In March 2019 I was pregnant again, so after my second daughter’s birth in November 2019 I decided to use my old Cohen’s diet again in April 2020 weighting 89,4kg. I lost weight but needed a new Cohen diet so I decided to go back to Adelle at Rustenburg Clinic.

On 22 March 2021 I started my new diet with Dr. Cohen weighing 74,2 kg. I just love this diet it is really so easy to follow I never felt as if I could not go back on the diet again. I finished my refeeding on 20 September 2021 weighing 54.2kg.

I am healthy again and LOVE the way I look and feel – my confidence is great. It was certainly one of the most challenging things I have ever done BUT oh so rewarding too!

Being overweight does not happen overnight.
It is a journey where you start getting accustomed with the new “fuller” you.
As your pants size increases, so does the reasoning within yourself also become the perfect excuse ”of “tomorrow is the day”.
The battle of being overweight (whether it is 5, 10 or 30kg) – the emotional war within – is the same to all of us.

I met my soul mate who became my fiancé and on DV 20 March 21 will be my husband.
My journey started one morning while driving in my car; I cannot be a plump bride!
I called the Rtb branch, got all the info and finally received my “medicine”.
I am currently on my “re-feeding medicine” and reached 59kg!

A journey which started with a “reason” became a “gift” to myself!
