Victory Weekend is a get together, campi g event where anyone in SA is welcome to join and also testify of what the Lord has done in their lives, saving them from addiction or parents that are living in victory together with their children that once were trapped in addiction .

COME AND TELL YOUR STORIES SO THAT WE CAN GIVE HOPE TO THE ONCE THAT FEEL HOPELESS!

We need to calculate the 1 year and multiple(2 years and more) medals.

Most of us are afraid that there is a monster inside of us that, if released, will destroy us.”

Most of us are terrified to look at ourselves, to probe our insides. We’re afraid that if we examine our actions and motives, we’ll find a bottomless black pit of selfishness and hatred. Those fears are unwarranted.

We’re human, just like everyone else—no more, no less.
We all have personality traits that we’re not especially proud of. On a bad day, we may think that our faults are worse than anyone else’s. We’ll have moments of self-doubt. We’ll question our motives. We may even question our very existence. But if we could read the minds of our fellow members, we’d find the same struggles. We’re no better or worse than anyone else.

We can only change what we acknowledge and understand. Rather than continuing to fear what’s buried inside us, we can bring it out into the open. We’ll no longer be frightened, and our recovery will flourish in the full light of self-awareness.

We fear what we don’t know. Risk to expose your fears and allow them to vanish.

8 years ago, I was a hopeless drug addict walking into rehab for the 5th time. My family and friends were completely done with me. They were sick and tired of the lying, cheating, and stealing. I was kicked out of my house on several occasions. I spent most nights couch surfing at “so-called” friends’ houses or sleeping in my car which eventually got taken as well. I’ll never forget the night before I left New Jersey. My relationship with my mother was so tarnished she wouldn’t even let me borrow her pink suitcase to go to drug rehab in Florida. I remember packing 7 days’ worth of clothes and stuffing them into a trash bag. I was lost and broken.

Today, 8 years sober, I am an amazing father, husband, brother, son, friend, and business owner. I want to thank my mother and father for always standing by my side and loving me from a distance during my addiction. If it wasn’t for them telling me “NO MORE!” Who knows what would have happened? I’ve recently become a father of three myself and I can’t imagine the strength it would take to turn away one of your children, suffering from substance abuse, for them to get better.

Addiction does not have to lead to Jails, Institutions, and Death. It can lead to a stronger individual in recovery. 2/21/13
