Let’s talk posture. Most of us don’t even notice when we’re slouching at our desks, leaning into our screens, or standing with our hips shifted off to one side. But over time, those little habits can add up and start affecting how we feel - tight shoulders, stiff necks, low back pain, tight jaw… sound familiar?

In this video, we’re walking through a few common posture mistakes, why they matter, and what you can start doing to improve them. Nothing complicated - just simple tips you can actually use in your day-to-day.

If you’re not sure what your posture’s doing or how to fix it, that’s where we come in. Let’s figure it out together.

We don’t just "crack your back" and send you on your way—this isn’t a quick-fix drive-thru. Once you’ve been adjusted, we take it a step further with a customised rehabilitation programme tailored to your body and your bad habits (we’re looking at you, habitual slouchers).

Why do we do this?

It speeds up recovery so you’re not hobbling around.
It prevents future issues, so we’re not having the same chat in six months.
It maximises results because a stronger, more mobile body means you can survive life’s twists, turns, and dodgy lifting techniques.

True wellness isn’t just about feeling better; it’s about staying better—and making sure your body forgives you for all the years you didn’t know better. Ready to start? Book your appointment now and let’s get to work.

Your muscles tell a story, and we’re here to read it—hopefully without any drama.
Myotomal testing (or muscle strength testing) helps us evaluate muscle strength and detect problems with the nerves that control them. Each group of muscles (myotome) is connected to a specific spinal nerve, so testing them gives us the inside scoop on how your nervous system is holding up.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Muscle weakness, which can indicate:
Nerve compression or irritation (not the good kind)
Disc herniations affecting spinal nerves (sounds fun, doesn’t it?)
Poor spinal alignment disrupting nerve signals (when your spine’s having an identity crisis)

With this knowledge, we can target the root cause of your muscle weakness through chiropractic care and rehabilitation. The result? Stronger muscles, less pain, and a nervous system that works properly for a change.

Feel like your muscles are letting you down? Book an appointment today and let’s uncover the cause together—no more excuses.

Desk life isn’t just bad for your soul—it’s also a nightmare for your psoas major. This muscle, which connects your lower spine to your hips, wasn’t built for marathon sitting sessions, no matter how great your Netflix queue is.

Here’s what happens when you sit for too long:
Your psoas stays in a shortened position, leading to lower back pain, hip discomfort, and even referred pain down to your knees (because why stop at one area of misery?).
Over time, it pulls on your lower spine, creating alignment issues and making every move feel like you’re 20 years older than you are.

The solution? Chiropractic adjustments to fix alignment, paired with stretches and exercises to lengthen and strengthen your psoas.

Think of it as undoing all the damage from sitting like a human pretzel.
If your desk job is wreaking havoc on your back, book your appointment now. Your spine deserves better.

Your reflexes aren’t just for showing off how fast your knee can jerk when it’s tapped—they’re like the gossip of your nervous system, spilling all its secrets.

Reflex testing allows us to see how well your nerves and spinal cord are functioning (spoiler alert: if you’re in pain, the answer is “not great”).

Here’s what we’re looking for:
Is a nerve compressed or damaged?
Are your muscles getting clear messages from your brain, or is the signal patchy like Wi-Fi in the middle of nowhere?
Can we trace your symptoms back to the root cause?

Great care starts with understanding what’s actually going on. So, if your body’s been sending you mixed messages, it’s time to sort it out.

Your joints are fascinating—mostly because they’re the bits holding you together while you fight gravity every day. That’s why we take the time to perform specialised testing to figure out what’s gone wrong.

In this case, we’re putting the glenohumeral joint (aka your shoulder’s drama queen) to the test.
With ligament stress tests, we can assess joint stability, find any sneaky injuries, and create a plan to stop the chaos. Because ignoring it doesn’t make it go away—it just makes you live with the regret of not fixing it sooner.

Your body deserves more than a generic, one-size-fits-all approach. So, if you’re ready for personalised care that actually works, book your appointment today.

Let’s talk about traction therapy! It's like a stretch for your spine, but without the yoga mat and leggings. Chiropractors use traction techniques to gently create space between your vertebrae, which helps relieve pressure on your nerves, reduce pain, and get your spine back to its proper alignment.

Here’s how it works:
By decompressing the spine, traction helps reduce nerve irritation.
It encourages better communication between your brain and body—so less miscommunication between the two.
The result? Less pain, more mobility, and a spine that doesn’t sound like a rice krispie treat every time you move.

Ready to give your spine (and your sanity) the care they deserve? Book your appointment online today and feel the magic of traction therapy yourself.

Injury Recovery Tips: Healing from an injury can be a frustrating process, but there are things you can do to speed up recovery. As your chiropractor, I want to share 5 tips to help you heal faster:

1. Stay Active: While you’ll need to rest the injured area, keep the rest of your body moving with low-impact exercises like walking or swimming. This promotes blood flow and healing.
2. Eat a Nutrient-Rich Diet: Proper nutrition supplies the building blocks for tissue repair. Focus on lean proteins, fruits, veggies, and anti-inflammatory foods like fatty fish and turmeric.
3. Get Enough Sleep: During sleep, your body enters an anabolic state and devotes resources to healing and growth. Aim for 7-9 hours per night.
4. Manage Stress: High stress levels lead to muscle tension and impaired healing. Practice relaxation techniques like meditation, deep breathing, or yoga.
5. Follow Your Treatment Plan: Stick to your recommended chiropractic care, physical therapy, and any other treatments prescribed.

Consistent care is key for optimal recovery.
Be patient and dedicated to the healing process.
Your body has an amazing ability to heal itself when given the right care and support.

Here are 3 things you should know about chiropractic:

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, primarily those affecting the spine.
Chiropractors use manual techniques, such as spinal manipulation and mobilization, to improve joint mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall health.

Chiropractic care is based on the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, and that proper alignment of the musculoskeletal system is essential for optimal health. Chiropractors use a holistic approach to healthcare, focusing on the whole person, rather than just the symptoms of a specific condition.

Chiropractic treatment has been found to be effective for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sciatica. It may also be helpful for conditions such as asthma, ear infections, and menstrual cramps, although more research is needed to confirm these benefits.
