The neurodegenerative disorder we are looking at today is Parkinson’s Disease. It is commonly seen in people over 60 however the risk is increased with head injuries, chronic inflammation, genetics and exposure to toxins.

Should you or anyone you know experience any of the symptoms listed above, please see a healthcare professional as soon as possible.

IT’S MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY!! 😊

First on our Neurodegenerative Disease series is Alzheimer’s Disease. This disorder typically affects the older population (from 65 to 85+). In rare instances it can affect people between ages 30 to 60, this is called Early Onset Alzheimer’s.

It can be extremely difficult for someone dealing with this disorder to understand and even learn to cope with their new situation; however, their loved ones also get affected by seeing them go through this as well. If you or anyone you know is in this situation please extend some compassion and find out if you could provide any form of support.

We are officially moved out of the Medical Mews at Sandton City Mall and will be based inside Planet Fitness at The Marc as of 8 January 2025.

Don’t worry, we are still in the Sandton area, only 2 minutes away from Sandton City Mall.
