As part of his visit to South Africa, from Inc. led an exclusive in-theatre training with Dr Lourens Coetzee and the team at .

πŸ“Έ Our surgical team observed the precise, delicate steps it takes to prepare the Allotex lenticule:
πŸ”¬ Just 20 microns thick and 2.5 mm in diameter, the inlay is gently detached from its glass slide using BSS solution, where it's held in place by albumin β€” a natural protein.

πŸ’§ It’s then transferred to a petri dish and lifted with a specialised tool that uses hydrodynamic pressure to keep the lenticule perfectly centred inside a ring, ready for placement under a thin LASIK-style flap.

πŸ‘οΈ This combination of advanced training and technology now enables our South African surgeons to deliver world-class presbyopia correction.

πŸ“– We look forward to sharing patient stories, clinical insights, and the life-changing results of this innovative inlay over the coming months.
