Chiropractors treat a variety of conditions such as neck pain, low back pain, whiplash, headaches, disc problems and sciatica, sports injuries, colic, sinusitis etc. On your first appointment you can expect the following: a case history will be taken, followed by a physical examination and postural analysis, and various orthopaedic tests will be performed to obtain a diagnosis. A treatment plan will then be discussed and carried out with the patient.

For a low-carb, keto-friendly, protein packed healthy and easy to make meal, try this "Pork Fillet & Port Mushroom Sauce"

-400g (0.88 lb) pork fillet/ loin (organic)
-300g (0.66 lb and about 4cups) mushrooms. sliced
-100g (3.5 oz or ½ cup) port
-1 medium head of broccoli
-1 tbsp unsalted butter
-1 tsp olive oil
-1 tbsp freshly chopped thyme
-1 pinch of salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:
Fry the mushrooms and thyme in butter for 2-3 minutes then add the port and reduce for a further 2-3 minutes.
Fry the pork fillets in olive oil for a total of 5 minutes each side, first searing it.
Boil the broccoli florets in 100 ml of boiling water for 3 minutes then drain.
Serve.

Notes:
Pork fillet served with broccoli is a low-carb high protein meal ideal for anyone trying to maintain muscle or lose weight. Broccoli is high in fibre and beneficial compounds that protect against cancer and aid in hormone detoxification. The delicious mushroom sauce makes it extra decadent and is so easy to make. You can add some crushed garlic to the sauce when you add the port. During the week we prefer to cook light, quick, high protein and low-carb meals, and this is a firm favourite in our house. Mushrooms are high in vitamin B and beta glucans, which is beneficial for gut health and gut bacteria.

✨ Tips to Detox for a Happier Liver + Balanced Hormones

Your liver works hard every single day — not just to clear exogenous toxins,
but also to detoxify endogenous hormones (like oestrogen).

7. Use Vinegar to Clean Limescale & Surfaces

A simple, non-toxic, cheap solution. No fumes. No hormone disruptors.

8. Cleaner Hair Products

Check whether your favourite brand has a natural range — many do!
For dry shampoo, rice powder is a beautiful natural alternative.
For heat protection, try oils like castor oil or Moroccan argan oil

A delicious, healthy, freshly-baked sourdough bread recipe that has been designed to be easy to follow and guarantees a success loaf every time.

Sourdough bread is a healthier option to traditional bread because the wild yeasts that are found naturally on the flour and lactobacillus bacteria help ferment the flour over a longer period, improving the bioavailability of nutrients such as calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc by reducing the anti-nutrient phytic acid.

The fermentation process reduces the glycaemic index, thereby slowing the glucose released into the bloodstream and thereby improving satiety and fullness. Although the bread still contains gluten, gluten-intolerant people may be able to tolerate sourdough bread due to the slow fermentation process, which helps break down some of the gluten ¹ ². Sourdough, however, is not advised for people suffering with Coeliac's disease. Spelt is considered and ancient grain which hasn't been crossed with other wheat types, which may make it more tolerable to some individuals who are wheat-sensitive, however it has less gluten and may be more difficult to work with. Spelt and wholewheat are high in B vitamins and the minerals magnesium and zinc, with 100g supplying 30% the daily required amount of these minerals, and contains healthy fibre and amino acids.

Combine white & wholewheat flour in a 50:50 ratio.

I've found that using a smaller Dutch oven (2.8 litre/ 95fl oz and 20cm / 7.8 in diameter) helps keep the shape of the bread and allows for a perfect rise every time. In addition, try to use a flour that is organic and contains at least 12-14g of protein.

Looking for a super easy Mediterranean-based meal to make?
